Módulo 7 – Etapas del Registro de la Cadena de Custodia
La Guía Nacional de Cadena de Custodia, menciona que la cadena de custodia tiene diversas etapas (PROCESAMIENTO, TRASLADO, ANÁLISIS, ALMACENAMIENTO EN LA BODEGA DE INDICIOS, PRESENTACIÓN DE LOS INDICIOS O ELEMENTOS MATERIALES PROBATORIOS A JUICIO), sin embargo, una etapa es un período o parte diferenciada en que se divide el desarrollo de una acción o un proceso, quizás el nombre más adecuado en cuanto a lo que se refiere la Guía nacional, serían Actividades en las que estaría o va pasando un indicio.
Sin embargo, como el título de este curso va enfocado al Registro de Cadena de Custodia, es necesario mencionar lo que considero las Etapas del Registro de Cadena de Custodia, las cuales son las siguientes: Apertura, Firma de Intervinientes en Procesamiento, Continuidad y Trazabilidad.
Apertura: Ésta la hace el perito o el primer respondiente, y se realiza en el lugar de intervención, la mayoría de las veces o en el laboratorio en la actividad de análisis del indicio.
Firma de Intervinientes en Procesamiento: Los servidores que han participado en alguna etapa de la actividad de procesamiento: Éstas etapas son: Búsqueda, Recolección, Documentación.
Continuidad y Trazabilidad: En ella se van anotando todos los funcionarios públicos y autorizados que van teniendo contacto con los indicios. Además de incluir el lugar donde estará y la hora y fecha de entrega.
